We'll send you a high-quality mp3 preview before you approve the final version. You can ask for as many modifications and changes as you'd like. Your first modification is free of charge and additional modifications are only $25 each. There's no studio time limit putting pressure on your budget, no flaky musicians to worry about. Recording Specifications & Options:
Recorded on a Pro Tools HD2 system with 192 converters in three rooms specially built for drum recordings. Each studio has a slightly different setup and we often re-mic the set according to the sound you're after. We usually record 10 channels that include: Bass drum, Snare top, Snare bottom, Tom 1, Tom 2, Floor, Overhead L+R, Hi-Hat, and Room mics.
Outboard gear: TLAudio and Signal Audio, high-end custom tube preamp and compressors.
Microphones: 2xAKG 414TLII, AKG D112, Sennheiser E604s and SM57s, Neumann KM184, Neumann U 87.
Options for your final drum track files:
Stereo Drum Mix: Stereo WAV file of your drum tracks mixed by our drummer. (Included with our basic package.)
Stereo Drum Mix + Unprocessed Tracks (Costs additional $34):
Get the 10 individual unprocessed source tracks of the recording in addition to our stereo drum mix. This option is required if you plan on sending your song for professional mixing; it gives your mixing engineer the freedom to process the drum channels exactly the way he likes.
Stereo Drum Mix + Processed Tracks (Costs additional $90): Get the 10 individual source tracks of the recording with the processing we perform on the stereo mix in addition to our stereo drum mix. This option is perfect for those who want to mix their songs themselves but don't have years of experience in drum mixing.
- You can also purchase both unprocessed and processed tracks for the most flexibility and options in your mix.
