Featured Artist: Ronnie Roseman

Ronnie Roseman is one of the most interesting and unique songwriting clients I have ever worked with. He originally contacted me back in June of 2013 and since then we have been collaborating on transforming his song ideas into a fully produced, radio ready production.

I was impressed with Roseman’s melodies and lyrics of his song “My Baby Don’t Care”. We started the process by him just singing the melody of the song and providing the lyrics. From there, I sent his project to our guitarist to write a custom chord progression to add the harmonic elements to support the catchy melody that he’d been singing for years and years.

Throughout the process, we overcame some hurdles as far as communicating his needs to the session musicians working on the project. Ronnie lives hundreds of miles from a recording studio in the woods of Washington, so working together over the internet was a must. What has developed in the final master of “My Baby Don’t Care” is something to truly be proud of.

We chose a combination of authentic country musicians from the StudioPros team to develop an acoustic based instrumentation with: acoustic guitar, live drums, upright bass, and a lead fiddle performance. The vocals are what really sell the recording for me, however, by our talented session vocalist Kelsey. This is online collaboration at it’s finest, and proof that you can use our services from ANYWHERE.

How did you get involved with StudioPros.com?
Searching the web.

How was the StudioPros process for you? Was it difficult to work online?
I was a hundred miles from any recording studio. I didn’t know any musicians and to add to the problem I’m a bit of a procrastinator.

When I found out about StudioPros I was a little skeptical even though they seemed to have it all. I could hear past productions. There was a variety of professional singers I could listen to and choose from, internationally recognized engineers and my first song was guaranteed. It was almost too good to be true. I decided to get started after talking to Kati.

With each added track it got better and better and was done professionally and proficiently. It was easy to communicate, and I never felt pressured. They were always patient and courteous. I’m very happy with the production. I’m sure StudioPros saved me a lot of headaches and money. In fact, if I hadn’t called StudioPros that day it may never have happened. I can’t wait to get started on the next one.

What are you doing with your music? What’s next for you?
At the moment I’m lining up all options, radio shows, social networking: Facebook etc. I also have a web site called the Roseman Foundation where anybody can download “My Baby Don’t Care,” for 99 cents. The site and song is dedicated to my son Chris, who has had chronic schizophrenia since he was 18 years old. Most of any proceeds from this song will go to that benefit.

Who are some of your favorite song writers and musical influences?
John, Paul, George, and Burt Bacharach. I’m still influenced by the 60’s music and more modern stuff like Taylor Swift.

When did you begin song writing? What instruments do you write with?
A guitar is the only thing I can play a little. I know a few chords. Out of hundreds of songs that I’ve written I’ve only done a few with a guitar. A lot of my songs come to me in dreams.

Besides music what else do you enjoy?
Herpetology, exploring the unknown, dreaming, and meeting people, I’m a real people person. I love creating something that no one has ever hear, felt or touched before, The only way I can do that is through music.
