Logan Myers is a young budding singer/songwriter with a very bright future. At just 17 years old and about to enter her senior year of high school, Logan is just at the start of her songwriting and recording career. I’ve always enjoyed working with up and coming artists with such promise and their whole future ahead of them.
We have collaborated on 2 projects to date and we are now at the starting phases of production number 3. Logan’s sweet yet quietly powerful voice and the ability to pen catchy lyrics with infectious melodies makes her stand out amongst the crowd. Drawing inspiration from pop divas such as Adele and Taylor Swift, you can hear the commercial viability in her songs. Keep on writing Logan, the sky is the limit!

How did you first get involved with StudioPros.com?
I found StudioPros while I was searching online for local places to record the songs I had written. After reading about what StudioPros had to offer, I was excited to send my songs in and see what they could do with them. I spoke with Kati O’Toole and she really understood who I wanted to be as an artist.
How was the StudioPros process for you? Was it difficult to work online?
StudioPros is amazing to work with, especially for busy people. Being in school, it is very hard for me to find time to go into a studio and work for hours on top of a busy schedule. With StudioPros, I just send in my song and they send me a high-quality preview of what I asked for with a 48-hour turnaround. Their process is fast and easy to work with online. I can’t think of a better way to create music.
How did we help to get your songs sounding professional?
When writing my songs I always start with a simple piano or guitar melody. This gives StudioPros the ability to make my songs more complex. Every new instrument recording StudioPros sends me is creative and professional sounding. They really helped my songs develop.
How many songs have you produced with StudioPros?
I have produced two songs with StudioPros. The first one we worked on was ‘End’. I came up with a simple piano melody but needed a more complex piano part behind my voice. The first recording of the piano track that StudioPros sent me was the one I used and the one you can now hear on iTunes or any streaming service. The second song we worked on was ‘Forever & Now.’ This is a full production song that really came to life through StudioPros.
What are you doing with your music? What’s next for you?
My self-titled EP ‘Logan’ is available on iTunes now. I have books full of songs that I have written, and I plan to make an album with them through StudioPros. I’m continuing to write and perform. My hope and dream is to share my music with a bigger crowd in hopes they can relate to my lyrics and can be moved by my music.
Who are some of your favorite songwriters and musical influences?
My biggest influence in music is Adele. She is unlike any other artist in the industry. She is an amazing singer, writer, and performer. I also think Taylor Swift is one of the greatest songwriters. She’s not afraid to take risks with her songs and she is incredible at capturing a feeling and putting that into her music. These two artists inspire me to be a better writer and singer.
When did you begin songwriting? What instruments do you write with?
I have been writing songs for two years now. I love writing music. I first compose my songs with piano or guitar. This helps me get an idea of the instruments I would like to add. Writing is a very rewarding process. The feeling you get after writing a good lyric or song is indescribable. The only thing that’s better than that feeling is sharing it with someone else. I love when my lyrics resonate with others and can see that they love the song just as much I do.
What was the inspiration and writing process like for that song?
There is an obvious contrast in storylines between my songs ‘End’ and ‘Forever & Now’. ‘End’ is an emotional song packed with heartbreak and me singing everything I wanted to say to this person. It’s been about a year since I wrote that song and a lot has changed. ‘Forever & Now’ is a love song about a person who is now a part of my life and has shown me what love is supposed to be like. Although these two songs are very different, writing them came naturally. I write my songs like a story. I come up with a good starting line and just write the rest of the song in the same sitting. Once my lyrics are done, I’ll go to my guitar or piano and compose a tune that I like, then I make edits to the lyrics in order for it to all come together. Whether it’s a good day or bad day writing my feelings and experiences down in a lyrically beautiful way is therapeutic.
Besides music, what else do you enjoy?
At my high school, I sing in choir and chorale, plays, musicals and the worship team. I love being creative and doing things where I can use my gifts and talents.
Do you draw inspiration from your everyday life?
Each day I learn something new about myself or others. With every new experience, there is a song to be written. Not every song is going to be good or recording worthy. Writing down your feelings about your everyday life helps you grow not only as a songwriter and an artist but also as a person. I try to write daily.
What is your plan for your final recordings?
I would love to make an album and have my music be heard by a larger audience. Singing and writing are what I love to do and I would love to make it my career in the future. With my next recordings, I hope to reach more people who enjoy my music.
